Is an outreach ministry committed to
reaching out to various communities by
providing them with encouragement,
community resources, and messages of hope
by sharing the word of GOD.
We provide a summer outreach event that is free to the community. This is a
family oriented event and enjoyable for all ages. We offer free community
services during our outreach event which include:
•
Free concert with area gospel groups, vocalists, and artists
•
Prayer balloon lift off
•
Ministers and Pastors from area churches.
We would need access to an area large enough to support this effort and use of
electricity.
In addition to our direct community outreach services, we are grateful for the
gift of partnership with others who serve the Homewood area. Bibles were
donated by the Jumonville Christian Camp and Retreat Center. We joined with
Panera Bread in Murrysville, to distribute bread and pastries to the YMCA Food
Bank and the Primary Care Health Services Supportive Housing Program. We
collaborated with "Christian Life Skills" and "Pancakes for Jesus".
We have grown and increased our capacity in 2009. We expect to do even greater outreach this year. We have partnered with the Nehemiah Emmanuel Community Development Corporation associated with Emmanuel Baptist Church in Rankin, Pennsylvania. The mission of the NECDC is to strengthen the economies of low and moderate income communities by implementing programs and services that build assets, workforce capacity and business opportunities. Our partnership with the NECDC will allow us to reach a greater and more diverse number of people, it will allow us to operate under a 501c3 organization, and it will allow us to have more resources in place to serve the community.
The future support of caring people like you will enable us to continue to
provide free services, which help many families and individuals to meet
spiritual needs and to work toward a brighter future, by our obedience to the
Word of God. (Matt 25:35- 36).
Our 1st annual Homewood Community Outreach will be held on Saturday
August 29, from noon to 5pm at the Alma Illery Primary Care Health Services
Center, 7227 Hamilton Ave., Pittsburgh, PA, 15208. Our thanks to the Center
for the donation of the space. We have also scheduled a second Community
Outreach event for this year to take place on Saturday August 22nd at the
Rankin Intermediate Elementary School in the Rankin area of Pittsburgh.
So much of the work of Faithful Ministries depends on caring and generous
friends like you. We are deeply appreciative.
